Every squadron throughout the country follows a syllabus of training whereby cadets can gain advancement with annual examinations. Squadrons normally parade twice a week.
Every cadet is very proud of their unit, rivalry and competition is fierce, which is always apparent on the sports field.
They study subjects such as …..Air navigation, Propulsion, Map Reading, First Aid and much more. On finishing all the academic training the cadets may apply to receive a BTEC.

Our staff is constantly looking for leadership qualities in all our cadets, as they get older and more mature, so they may progress thought the ranks by being promoted. Alongside the formal training which includes drill, rifle shooting, radio,( dependant on the staff attending a particular squadron,) cadets could be building websites, model aircraft flying, motor engineering and much more.
On weekends we could be out adventure training, playing sport, flying in one of our fleet of aircraft located around the country on military establishments, or visiting a gliding squadron to gain ‘air time’.
As you can see squadrons are very busy places with lots of things going on.
